What You’ll Do
- Provide skilled nursing care for medical oncology and high-acuity patients
- Monitor patient conditions using GE telemetry and B450 monitors
- Administer chemotherapy, fluids, and medications with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Focus on infection prevention, patient safety, and reducing falls
- Utilize various equipment including PCA pumps, bladder scanners, and Alaris infusion pumps
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
What You Need
Required:
- Current Ohio RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years inpatient RN experience
- BCLS certification
- Ability to float within units of equal or lower acuity
Preferred:
- Oncology experience (not required but preferred)
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with high-acuity patients in a busy setting
About the Assignment
This assignment takes place on a mixed acuity PCU/MS Tele unit caring for adult oncology patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. The unit handles a variety of diagnoses, from solid tumors to blood cancers, with a focus on infection control and safety. You will have the opportunity to expand your oncology skills and work with state-of-the-art equipment in a supportive environment that encourages professional development.
