What You’ll Do
- Provide high-acuity ICU care to post-operative cardiac and surgical patients, including CABG, valve repairs, aortic dissection, and transplant recovery
- Monitor and manage patients requiring PA catheters, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
- Assist with patient assessments and implement care plans in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond to emergency events, including potential assignments to emergency or relief teams as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligibility to licensure in Louisiana
- ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, including experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps
- Epic experience is preferred, especially in critical care settings
Preferred:
- Experience with post-op cardiac, transplant, or vascular ICU patients
- Ability to work independently and within a team in high-pressure situations
About the Assignment
