What You’ll Do
- Provide expert nursing care in the CVICU setting for cardiac patients
- Monitor patients closely using telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, and balloon pumps
- Manage IV starts, sedation, and other specialized procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist with complex procedures
- Document care accurately in Electronic Medical Records (Epic experience required)
- Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed during shifts
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven experience with IV starts, telemetry, vents, Swan-Ganz, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
- Epic EMR experience required
Preferred:
- 2+ years of Cardiac ICU experience
- Previous travel or agency nursing experience
About the Assignment
This opportunity is at a leading hospital in Columbus, Ohio, providing specialized cardiac critical care in a fast-paced environment. The unit is committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care with a focus on complex cardiac procedures and recovery. Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with up to six weekend shifts per schedule period. Parking options are available through CampusParc, with varying options based on preference and budget.
