What You’ll Do:
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations and optimize surgical patients’ health status
- Review health history and physical data to prepare patients for upcoming surgeries
- Utilize facility protocols for patient assessment and care coordination
- Identify and refer patients as appropriate, collaborating closely with surgical teams
- Manage outpatient, chart review, and data collection to support surgical teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with facility standards
What You Need:
- Active NY Nurse Practitioner license
- BLS certification (AHA or RQI)
- Minimum experience in pre-anesthesia or perioperative care
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Epic EMR experience
About the Assignment:
This role supports pre-operative evaluation for surgical patients at a busy ambulatory outpatient facility. You will work in a team-focused environment, primarily performing chart reviews, patient assessments, and care coordination for diverse surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, and urology. No procedures required, with scheduled shifts Monday through Friday, and a steady patient flow.
