What You’ll Do
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations and optimize upcoming surgical patients
- Review health history and pertinent patient information
- Utilize existing protocols for patient assessment and preparation
- Perform chart reviews and data collection
- Make appropriate referrals as necessary
- Collaborate closely with the Surgery/Anesthesia team
- Support outpatient, pre-op visits across surgical specialties such as Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Urology
What You Need
Required:
- Active NY License in Hand
- BLS certification
- Epic experience
- Board Certified APP in relevant setting
- Experience in pre-anesthesia or pre-operative care
Preferred:
- Past experience working with surgical teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
About the Assignment
This role involves outpatient pre-operative assessments in a dedicated ambulatory setting focused on evaluating and preparing surgical patients. The position offers a stable, Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend or call obligations, providing excellent work-life balance. You will work closely with surgical teams to review patient histories, perform assessments, and optimize patient readiness for upcoming surgeries within a supportive environment.
