Critical Care Nurse Practitioner – Boston, MA

- License/Certs: Active MA license (PAs considered with 3-5 weeks processing), ACLS, BLS, DEA
- Experience: 2+ years in critical care/ ICU

What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with attending physicians in a fast-paced ICU setting
- Respond to staff-initiated clinical needs and patient care questions
- Conduct adult ICU assessments and respond to critical situations
- Participate in rounding, completing rounds in the morning and afternoon
- Support patient management with minimal procedures (no ventilator management or advanced neuro neuro-stroke interventions)
- Maintain documentation within Epic EMR system
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety guidelines
What You Need:
- Required:
- Active MA license (or pending license for PAs with 3–5 week credentialing)
- 2+ years ICU experience
- ACLS, BLS, DEA
- Board certification in Acute Care
- Preferred:
- Experience responding as a clinician in ICU
- Local candidates or those able to stay in town
About the Assignment:
This assignment takes place at a reputable teaching hospital in Boston, MA, supporting adult ICU patients with an average census of 7 patients. The role involves responding clinician duties in a well-equipped ICU setting, with no procedures required beyond basic assessments. The team includes four APPs supervised by an attending MD during day shifts, with independent response duties at night. The focus is on responding to critical needs, rounding, and supporting patient care.
