• Assignment Range: December 2026–March 2027


• Weekday Shift: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM


• Weekday Call: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM


• Weekend Call: Extended call coverage


• Setting: Inpatient Trauma / Surgical Critical Care


• Patient Population: Adults


• EMR: Epic


• Daytime trauma service shared between two attending physicians


• APP and resident support available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts medical license


• Surgical Critical Care fellowship training


• Active DEA


• Massachusetts CSR


• Experience managing inpatient trauma and emergency surgical patients


• Comfortable leading trauma activations and working alongside APPs and residents

Responsibilities

• Manage patients on the inpatient trauma service


• Lead and respond to trauma activations


• Evaluate emergency general surgery consults


• Perform emergency operative cases as clinically indicated


• Collaborate with fellow attending physicians, APPs, and resident teams


• Provide weekday and weekend call coverage as scheduled
