- Job Setting: Hospital System - 10 Anesthesia Rooms; Charting System: Epic
- Types of Cases: General, Orthopedic, OB (Obstetrics), Pediatrics
- Credentialing: Estimated Privileging Timeframe: 90 days; Accelerated Privileges: No; Willing to Accept Candidates Needing State License: Yes
- Supervision: MDs supervising CRNAs; MD to CRNA ratio: 1:4; MDs also doing their own cases
Responsibilities- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Minimum Requirements- Certifications: Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
- Licensure: Current license as a registered professional nurse; Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education; Willing to obtain state license if not currently held
