Job Description: * Location: Fully Remote * Facility Type: Telehealth / Virtual Care * Start Date: October - December 2026 * Length of Assignment: Temporary / Contract (Until March/April) * Schedule: Part-Time (20 hrs/wk), Modified Full-Time (32 hrs/wk), or Full-Time (40 hrs/wk); Includes weekend rotations * State License Needed: Active license in at least 1-2 of: GA, AL, TN, MO, SC, IN, OK, MS; IMLC active or eligibleMedix has partnered with a leading virtual care provider to recruit dedicated physicians for remote Telehealth Urgent Care, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine positions. In this role, you will become an integral part of the healthcare solution, embodying a passion for delivering high-quality care and elevating health standards nationwide. Key Responsibilities: * Assess patients via video-based encounters and conduct virtual comprehensive examinations. * Compile patient medical data, including health history and clinical findings. * Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic results. * Develop and execute tailored patient treatment plans. * Maintain sensitive patient health records, examination results, and clinical reports using EHR systems. * Clearly communicate procedures and prescribed treatments to patients using clear, accessible language. * Maintain practice productivity expectations (minimum 3 patients per hour; expected volume 4-6 visits per hour) and manage shift efficiency. * Complete visit documentation within the 72-hour practice policy window. * Maintain strong patient satisfaction ratings through high-quality, evidence-based care and exemplary bedside manner. * Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Skills
Requirements: * Successful completion of a 3-year accredited residency program. * Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine (dual Internal Medicine and Pediatrics also considered). * 3+ years of experience in an Urgent Care or fast-paced Family Practice setting. * Demonstrated ability to treat pediatric through adult populations. * Active, unrestricted medical license in at least 1-2 of the following states: GA, AL, TN, MO, SC, IN, OK, MS. * Active IMLC licensure or IMLC eligibility. * Active and maintained Medicare status. * Completion of USMLE requirements. * Active status without current exclusions or sanctions by any state/federal healthcare program (Medicare/Medicaid, OIG, GSA). * Ability to provide own computer/laptop setup for remote encounters.Other Comments: * Paid 16-hour required training session prior to shift start. * Flexible schedule options (Part-Time, Modified Full-Time, Full-Time). * Fully remote practice environment.
