What You’ll Do
- Conduct inpatient consults and manage outpatient cardiology cases
- Read EKGs and echocardiograms, supervise stress testing
- Manage patients with coronary artery disease, hypertension, and heart failure
- Collaborate with support staff including APPs, RNs, and medical assistants
- Support hospital rounding needs and provide consultative care
- Document patient interactions accurately in the EPIC EMR system
- Provide telephonic call coverage as part of on-call responsibilities
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Illinois medical license
- Board certification in Cardiology or General Cardiology
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical cardiology experience
Preferred:
- Experience managing adult cardiac conditions in a hospital setting
- Ability to read EKGs and echocardiograms proficiently
