Pay & Benefits:

What You’ll Do:
- Assist in grossing specimens from the hospital operating room, primarily benign lesions (95%)
- Prepare tissue samples for pathology analysis, including biopsies and resections
- Assist with specimen procurement for research and other clinical testing
- Select tissue for karyotyping and biopsy procedures
- Collaborate with pathology team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of specimens
- Maintain compliance with lab protocols and safety standards
- Support workload management, including handling cases from multiple labs when needed
What You Need:
- Valid PA (ASCP) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory or pathology assistant experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
About the Assignment:
This role is based in our Doan laboratory, where specimens from the University Hospital OR are processed. The focus is on benign case analysis with some cancer resections and native liver cases. The lab also handles procurement for research purposes and tissue selection for further testing, supporting the delivery of high-quality pathology services.
