What You’ll Do
- Assist in adult cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABGs and robotic thoracic procedures
- Collaborate closely with a seasoned advanced heart failure team including LVAD and Impella placements
- Perform specialized procedures such as endoscopic vein harvesting and first assist during surgeries
- Support patient care activities within the operating room and perioperative environment
- Document procedures accurately in an EPIC EMR system
- Ensure compliance with all licensure and certification requirements
What You Need
Required:
- North Carolina Medical License
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant
- Minimum 2 years experience in cardiac surgery setting
- Endoscopic vein harvesting experience
- DEA certification
- EPIC EMR experience (preferred or required)
- Active vaccines as mandated
Preferred:
- Experience with LVAD or Impella support
- Robotic surgery experience
