Adelphi is seeking qualified Psychiatric Nursing Assistants (PNAs) to provide patient care services at a facility in Kaufman County, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide various patient care duties under the supervision of the Nursing Shift Leader and support the care and safety of hospitalized psychiatric patients.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a psychiatric mental health technician/aide.
  • Willing to work with psychiatric patients who may have dual diagnoses.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
  • Required certifications must be provided and maintained on file as applicable.
  • comply with all  facility & agency rules, regulations, policies, &  directives.
  • Must comply with Agency  and facility attendance and leave policies.
  • Must comply with applicable immunization requirements.
  • Must successfully complete the required drug test.
  • Must complete required fingerprinting.
  • Must complete all required facility and agency training.
  • Overtime requires prior facility approval and agency notification before the shift begins.

Responsibilities
• Provide care to hospitalized psychiatric patients under the Nursing Shift Leader.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and record vital signs as assigned.
• Monitor patients for safety and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Perform required computer data entry.
• Follow established facility Standard Operating Procedures.
• Comply with applicable Joint Commission and CMS standards.
• Comply with applicable facility and  agency policies, standards, rules, and directives.
