What You’ll Do
- Provide advanced nursing care to oncology patients, including those with solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic malignancies
- Monitor critically ill patients using GE telemetry systems and other specialized equipment
- Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and manage IV therapies
- Conduct patient assessments, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond to rapid response team triggers
- Maintain infection prevention protocols and ensure patient safety through fall prevention measures
- Manage invasive lines, chest tubes, mechanical ventilation, and other advanced medical devices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care plans and discharge planning
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Ohio RN license
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience, including 1 year in PCU or telemetry
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insertions, central line care, and blood product administration
- Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity
Preferred:
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and management of complex invasive lines
- Skills in wound care, arterial line management, and non-invasive airway management
- Previous travel nursing experience
