What You’ll Do
- Provide expert nursing care within the operating room, utilizing the nursing process to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring proper sterile techniques and equipment setup
- Collaborate with surgical teams, including surgeons and technicians, to facilitate smooth operations
- Monitor and respond to patient needs during surgery, ensuring optimal outcomes
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient responses, and interventions
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Support unit goals by participating in team activities and continuous improvement efforts
What You Need
Required:
- Current RN license in Louisiana
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with robotic-assisted and laparoscopic surgeries
- Basic computer proficiency
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred:
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a surgical setting
- Additional certifications relevant to surgical nursing
