What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized OR nursing care as a Scrub/Circulate nurse in outpatient surgical procedures
- Assist with cataract surgeries, ensuring sterile field and assisting the surgical team
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures for adult and geriatric populations
- Follow facility protocols, including documentation in Cerner EMR
- Support surgical team with setup, instrument management, and post-procedure care
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs during all phases of surgery
What You Need
- Valid RN license in the state of Vermont
- Minimum of 1-year OR nursing experience, with cataract experience preferred (non-negotiable)
- Ability to work days shifts and coordinate schedules as required
- Own reliable transportation (local candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible)
- Team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work scheduled holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s

Join a well-established surgical department specializing in outpatient procedures, including general, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain management, and endoscopy. This community hospital provides a supportive work environment with a focus on patient-centered care, functioning with two operating rooms and a procedural suite. The facility primarily serves patients aged 16 and older, offering outpatient care with limited inpatient volumes.
