What You’ll Do
- Provide labor and delivery coverage in a hospital-based OB-GYN department
- Manage routine labor, deliveries, and postpartum care
- Perform cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries on patients
- Support emergency gynecologic consults as needed
- Collaborate with support staff and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient care using the EPIC EMR system
- Contribute to a team handling approximately 500–600 births annually
What You Need
Required:
- MD or DO license (IMLC accepted)
- Board certification in OB-GYN
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
- Willingness to float to sites including Janesville, Baraboo, Monroe Clinic, Madison
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical OB-GYN experience
Preferred:
- Experience with labor management and cesarean procedures
- Flexibility in scheduling and shifts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
About the Assignment
This hospital-based OB-GYN role involves providing high-quality labor and delivery services in a busy hospital environment with support staff as needed. The facility handles a significant number of births annually and offers emergency gynecologic support. The position offers a mixture of scheduled and on-call shifts, with a focus on routine obstetric care and limited high-risk cases, excluding VBAC transfers for pregnancies under 36 weeks.
