What You’ll Do
- Provide routine and complex nursing care within Labor and Delivery, supporting patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care activities accurately.
- Assess the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postnatal care.
- Support and manage clinical contingencies with independence and professional judgment.
What You Need
Required:
- RN License in Texas or a Compact State
- Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and NRP (AHA only)
- Certification in NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a related nursing specialty
Preferred:
- Experience in Perinatal or Labor & Delivery nursing
- Completion of a Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a similar setting
