Employment Type: 1099 Independent ContractorJob Overview: AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist to provide comprehensive radiology services at Womack Army Medical Center. The physician will interpret diagnostic imaging for inpatient and outpatient patients, provide consultation to other healthcare providers, perform applicable special radiology procedures, maintain accurate medical documentation, and participate in departmental quality-assurance activities. Key Duties: Interpret plain X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, and other diagnostic imaging studies. Perform and interpret applicable special procedures, including fluoroscopic and image-guided procedures within granted clinical privileges. Provide professional radiology consultation and technical advice to physicians and other healthcare staff. Review, dictate, verify, and electronically sign radiology reports and maintain accurate patient records. Interpret and verify STAT examinations within 60 minutes and routine, fluoroscopy, mammography, and special examinations within 24 hours. Participate in Department of Radiology Quality Assurance programs and comply with WAMC, DHA, Joint Commission, and HIPAA requirements. Work collaboratively with radiologic technologists, physicians, ancillary staff, and administrative personnel. Qualifications: Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Training: Completed an internship and residency in an accredited U.S. Diagnostic Radiology Training Program. Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology. Experience: Must be continuously employed in the practice of diagnostic radiology prior to the contract start date and meet clinical competency requirements. Clinical competency within the past two years must be demonstrated for privileging. Licensure: Required North Carolina medical license for performance under this non-personal services contract. DEA: North Carolina DEA registration required. Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS required. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen. Schedule: Womack Army Medical Center operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Radiologists may rotate with other MTF radiology staff according to mission requirements. Full-Time Radiologist Shifts: 0730–1630 – Monday-Friday 0800–1700 – Monday-Friday 0800–1700 – Weekends/Holidays 1500–2400 – Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays 0001–0900 – Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays Schedules are generally posted approximately 30 days in advance and may change depending upon mission requirements. Normal clinic hours are identified as 0730–1630, including a one-hour unpaid lunch. The contract limits work to 80 hours within a two-week pay period. On-Call: Radiology physicians may have on-call responsibilities: Monday-Friday: 1600–0700 Weekends: 0700–0700 Immunization/Health Requirements: The Contractor must provide documentation certifying applicable health requirements at initial placement, including required: Immunizations: Annual vaccinations Medical testing, when required N95 respirator/duckbill mask fit testing, when required Other applicable placement health documentation No additional TB screening requirement beyond the underlying contract requirements.
