What You’ll Do
- Provide routine and complex nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery setting.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring patient responses.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assess patient needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Demonstrate all applicable competencies, including leadership and professional standards.
- Manage cultural, emotional, and social aspects of patient care with sensitivity and professionalism.
What You Need
Required:
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Certification in one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- 1+ year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Recent or specialized experience in perinatal nursing
- Completion of Perinatal RN Residency program

This assignment takes place at a leading facility in San Antonio, TX, focusing on perinatal and labor & delivery care. The RN will provide patient-centered care, monitor fetal well-being, assist with labor processes, and support families through childbirth.
