What You'll Do
- Provide expert nursing care to diverse surgical patients, including orthopedic, general, podiatry, GYN/OB (including C-sections), pain management, urology, and endoscopy cases.
- Demonstrate proficiency and independence in applying the nursing process.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and management to ensure patient needs are met.
- Promote positive public relations and professional conduct.
- Maintain clinical competency and engage in ongoing learning.
- Support hospital and department policies, advocating for patient safety and confidentiality.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and compliance initiatives.
- Manage medication administration with five rights and efficient time management.
- Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with patients of varying cultural backgrounds.
- Assist in community service programs as requested.
What You Need
Required:
- RN license in New Mexico
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in surgical nursing
- Strong communication and computer skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- Additional language skills
