What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients, including lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts
- Operate advanced ICU equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Servo ventilators, and GE monitors
- Monitor and respond to patient needs with a 1:2 or flexible patient ratio, sometimes up to 1:3 or 1:4 on MS/PCU units
- Administer medications and treatments in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and recovery
- Float to other units including ED or PACU as needed
- Comply with all hospital safety and infection control protocols, including COVID-19 procedures
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Louisiana RN license and applicable certifications (ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Ability to float across units and care for isolation patients, including fit for N95 masks
Preferred:
- Experience with ICU equipment and critical care procedures
- Flexibility to work weekends and night shifts
