What You’ll Do:
- Provide open ICU coverage in a busy emergency department with an annual patient volume of approximately 32,000.
- Manage daily patient volumes of 90-100 patients, with each physician seeing about 18-20 patients per shift.
- Work collaboratively with a team of one physician and two mid-level providers.
- Utilize Meditech 6.1 EMR system for patient documentation.
- Deliver high-quality emergency care across diverse cases, including complex cases typical for an emergency medicine setting.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicaid and PECOS requirements.
- Maintain standards of care in a hospital environment with a dedicated team supporting your success.
What You Need:
Required
- Active North Carolina Medical License
- Enrollment in NC Medicaid and PECOS
- Emergency Medicine residency training or equivalent experience
- Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
Preferred
- Experience working in a hospital ED setting
- Ability to handle high patient volumes efficiently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
