What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert nursing care in Med Surg, Orthopedics, Neurology, and Telemetry units
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and pass an EKG competency exam
- Manage non-titrating cardiac drips, drains, wound vacs, tracheostomy, and central lines
- Collaborate with charge nurses, RTs, wound care, and hospitalist teams
- Administer medications and perform peripheral blood draws
- Float to similar units as needed and adhere to unit protocols
- Follow hospital EMR documentation procedures using Meditech Expanse
What You Need:
Required:
- Active RN license in Louisiana
- 2+ years of recent acute care RN experience in Med Surg or Telemetry
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam and interpret cardiac rhythms
Preferred:
- Previous Telemetry experience with cardiac rhythms
- Experience managing Drips, drains, and ventilators
