Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule:
  • Coverage Dates: November 25-30, 2026 and December 21-31, 2026; ongoing gap coverage may be needed through 2027
  • Shift Times: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (day); 6:00 PM - 7:30 AM (night/call); start time may vary depending on scheduled cases
  • Lunch: 30 minutes, unpaid
  • Guaranteed Hours Per Day: 8
  • Overtime applies after 8 hours per day
  • Call Type: Weeknight Beeper and 24-Hour Weekend Beeper Call
  • Call Response Time: 20-30 minutes
  • Allowed Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
• Job Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Types of Cases / Responsibilities:
  • Rounding on inpatients post-op
  • First assist in surgery
  • Seeing patients in clinic
  • 5-8 patients per shift
• Skills Required:
  • Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting
  • Interpret EKGs, X-rays, and Labs
  • ECMO
  • IABP and Impella
• EMR System: Epic
• Support Staff: 3 MAs, 2 PA/NPs
• Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days; hospital/surgery center privileges required; temporary privileges are not available

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified only
• Certifications:
  • ACLS: Required
  • BLS: Required
  • DEA: Required
  • Fellowship: Required
• Licensure: Active California license required; IMLC not accepted
