What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality care to medical oncology and acute care patients
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergent situations
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy when applicable (training available)
- Use GE telemetry and other specialized equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Prioritize infection prevention and fall prevention protocols
- Float within units of similar or lower acuity as needed
- Maintain documentation and comply with hospital policies
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- BCLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and flexible scheduling
Preferred:
- Oncology experience (not required but preferred)
- Prior travel nursing experience
About the Assignment
Type of unit: Mixed acuity medical-surgical and telemetry unit caring for adult oncology patients. The unit handles a variety of diagnoses including solid tumors and blood cancers with a focus on infection control and patient safety. The unit supports professional development through optional chemotherapy training.
