We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a 37-day assignment in South Dakota, commencing Nov 16, 2026. This role involves comprehensive emergency medicine care during night shifts, from 8 PM to 8 AM, including critical procedures, evaluation, stabilization of acute conditions, and patient transfers, with an expectation of managing emergency OB cases as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive emergency medicine care, including intubation, ventilation management, and line placement.
• Evaluate and stabilize patients presenting with acute medical conditions such as trauma, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for patients requiring a higher level of care.
• Manage OB emergencies and deliveries when necessary.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine required.
• EMR System: RPMS.
• Work Setting: Emergency Department only; no OR or ICU available.
• Schedule: Night shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM.
• Patient Volume: Approximately 1 patient per hour per provider.
• Staffing Mix: Onsite hospitalist department; 24/7 Life Flight service available for transfers.
• Requirements: Comfort managing OB emergencies and deliveries.
