Registered Nurse - SICU/ICU | Bossier City, LA

What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert nursing care to ICU patients with diverse critical conditions, including respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, and post-surgical cases.
- Manage ventilators, assist with intubation and extubation processes.
- Perform CVL management and placement, Foley catheter care, and tube feedings via NGT or PEG.
- Monitor and respond to patient needs following sedation and medication protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RTs, OTs, PTs, and SLPs.
- Chart patient progress using Meditech Expanse EMR.
- Support patient safety and comfort, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
What You Need:
Required:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in acute care settings
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Stroke experience, ventilator management, intubation support, CVL management, Foley care, and tube feedings
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Preferred:
- Experience in stepdown, stroke, or med-surg units
- Flexibility to float to med-surg units as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
