What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized care for critically ill patients in SICU/ICU settings, including ventilator management and assist with intubation and extubation.
- Monitor and manage patients with respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, and post-surgical recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments such as tube feedings, CVL management, and Foley catheters.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalist staff.
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, patient safety, and quality care.
What You Need
- Active RN license in Louisiana
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, including stroke and ventilator experience
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam and support float requirements
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
