Registered Nurse - Telemetry | Shreveport, LA | 12H Night Shift

Pay & Benefits:

What You’ll Do:
- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in a telemetry unit, including post-operative urology, med/surg overflow, and occasional total joint or GI/abdominal surgeries
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage wound care, JP drains, wound vacs, and hemodialysis catheters
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, OT, PT, and speech therapists
- Document patient progress accurately in the EMR system (Meditech Expanse)
- Support unit operations as needed, float across various med/surg areas and assist with patient assessments
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during night shifts, maintaining compliance with all standards and protocols
What You Need:
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or Compact State
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care settings
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
- Skills in wound management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and IV therapy
Preferred:
- Experience with urology post-operative patients
- Telemetry certification or experience
