What You’ll Do:
- Collect and prepare blood samples using skin puncture and venipuncture techniques
- Verify patient information, label specimens, and ensure proper documentation
- Assist medical technologists and/or pathologists with laboratory tests
- Maintain laboratory equipment and records following accreditation standards
- Ensure a safe, sterile, and infection-free environment during blood draws
- Enter patient and specimen data into lab information systems
- Support ongoing quality control and laboratory safety protocols
What You Need:
Required:
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license
- Experience with blood collection techniques and specimen processing
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality standards
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting
- Familiarity with lab information systems
