What You’ll Do
- Provide advanced critical care for adult and geriatric patients, including those with respiratory, cardiac, or complex medical conditions
- Manage mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheters, CRRT, chest tubes, and central lines
- Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy and complex drug regimens
- Monitor patient vitals and responses using EPIC charting and bedside equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced MICU environment
- Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and endoscopy when required
- Document clinical care accurately and timely
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Ohio RN license
- 2+ years of MICU or critical care experience
- ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
- Experience with vents, IV starts, and computerized charting (EPIC)
Preferred:
- Experience with complex procedures and pplications in a critical care setting
About the Assignment
This role at a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio, involves caring for critically ill adults in the MICU. You will work 12-hour night shifts with flexible scheduling every four weeks based on department needs, providing essential ICU care for patients with diagnoses ranging from oncologic emergencies to respiratory failure and sepsis.
