Locum Tenens Opportunity | Ongoing Coverage

• Emergency Medicine coverage in Mississippi

    

• Strong opportunity for physicians with recent ED or acute care experience

    

• Must be comfortable serving as a supervising or backup physician for NPs/PAs

    

• Moderate sedation experience required

    

• Candidates must have all required credentials active and in hand at presentation

    

• Completed a 3-year residency in:

    
    
  •   

    Emergency Medicine

        
  •   

    Family Medicine

        
  •   

    Internal Medicine with moonlighting approval

      
    

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in EM, FM, or IM

    

• 2,000+ contact hours within the past 2 years in an ED or acute care setting

    

• Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license

    

• Active Mississippi DEA with a Mississippi address and Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5

    

• Active CSR, if required

    

• Documentation of case logs from the past 2 years

    

• Proof of 40 CME hours completed within the past 2 years

    

ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if you are not board certified in Emergency Medicine or did not complete EM training.

• Moderate sedation experience

    

• Flu vaccination required

    

• COVID vaccination preferred, but not required

    

• $100K/$300K claims-made malpractice coverage

    

• Must be available to provide supervision or backup coverage for NPs/PAs

    

To be considered for presentation, physicians must have their active state medical license, board certification/eligibility, applicable DEA, and CSR (if required) in hand. Pending credentials cannot be accepted for presentation.
