What You’ll Do
- Provide direct nursing care for adult oncology patients within a specialized clinic setting
- Monitor patient symptoms, administer medications, and manage treatments per physician orders
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Support patients through education about their diagnoses, treatment options, and self-care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and symptom management
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Ohio RN license
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience
- Strong clinical skills and compassionate bedside manner
Preferred:
- ACLS certification
- OCN certification or relevant oncology training
About the Assignment
This assignment involves working within an adult hematology and oncology outpatient clinic, caring for patients with conditions such as leukemia, lymphoma, anemia, and other blood disorders. The nurse will support patient assessments, treatment administration, and education efforts in a busy, patient-centered environment.
