What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized, individualized care for neonates, including preterm infants < 28 weeks
- Manage respiratory systems, including ventilator adjustments (AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BIPAP, PEEP)
- Administer medications using the Pyxis medication system, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
- Perform and assist with critical procedures such as arterial lines, central lines, and interventions for neonatal abstinence syndrome
- Monitor and document patient status accurately in the EPIC system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive neonatal care
- Communicate effectively with families and healthcare team using SBAR protocol
What You Need
- Required: Valid Ohio RN license, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience in NICU Level III or IV units
- Skills in cardiovascular rhythm management, gastrointestinal feeding, and infection control
- Key qualities: Compassion, attention to detail, teamwork orientation
- Preferred: Prior experience at Nationwide Children's Hospital is a plus
