Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) - Surgical Services at a Leading Facility in Columbus, OH

- Shift: Night shift, 5x8 hours (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Hours/Week: 40 hours

- Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through IAHCSMM or HSPA)
- Experience: 3+ years in a similar healthcare setting, including trauma hospitals preferred

What You’ll Do:
- Decontaminate instruments and surgical tools, including drills, scopes, and robotic surgical equipment (e.g., Da Vinci)
- Assemble all instruments across various service lines, including trauma cases and loaner instruments
- Operate sterilization processes (sterrad and steam sterilizers)
- Manage High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope cleaning
- Handle sterile storage and inventory management
- Act as an OR liaison, facilitating efficient communication between departments
- Use Censitrac tracking system for instrument and equipment management
What You Need:
Required:
- Valid certification (CBSPD or CRCST through IAHCSMM or HSPA)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar setting, preferably in a Level One trauma hospital
- Proficiency in sterilization, decontamination, and OR support processes
- Ability to work night shift with flexibility to float to other locations when needed
Preferred:
- Experience with robotic surgical instruments (Da Vinci systems)
- Familiarity with Censitrac or similar tracking systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
