What You’ll Do
- Independently manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation for a diverse patient population
- Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and assist with airway management, including intubations
- Set up and operate various respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment
- Assist with pulmonary function tests (PFTs) if applicable
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to plan and deliver respiratory therapies
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards in a critical access hospital setting
What You Need
- Current Vermont license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital environment
- Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work holiday shifts and handle varying patient care needs
Preferred:
- Experience with pediatric to geriatric populations
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
