Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Locums Job in Connecticut | Scheduled Hours + Call | Beginning July 12 – Ongoing | Assignment #115378
Coverage Details
-- Coverage dates: As Soon as Credentialed – Ongoing
-- 6 month assignment with option to extend
-- Dual facility assignment: 35-mile distance
Shift Details
-- Weekend coverage only, Friday 6 PM through Sunday 6 PM
Requirements
-- Board Certified NCCPA
-- Active Connecticut license
-- Active ACLS
-- Active BLS
-- 1 year of experience (No new grads)
-- Must be able to cover both sites
-- Provider must be local
-- Epic experience - Preferred
Required Procedures / Skills
-- Pre-Op Physical Exams
-- Suture Removal
-- Diagnose and Treat Illnesses
-- Order and Interpret Tests
-- Assist in Surgery
-- Write Prescriptions
-- Coordination of Care
-- Rounding
-- Placement of Central Venous and Dialysis Catheters
-- Placement of Arterial Lines and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
-- Endoscopic Retrieval
-- No balloon pumps
Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Inpatient only at both sites, inpatient consults, OR assist, patient management on step down unit
-- Average number of patients per day: 10
-- Trauma Level: Level 1
-- Provider will be working autonomously
-- Patient age demographic: Adolescent/Adult/Geriatric
