We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery for a 75-day assignment in Ohio. This role involves a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional night and weekend call, covering either 7am-5pm rounding shifts or 5pm-7am call shifts. The incoming professional will manage routine cardiothoracic cases, including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, and VATS, along with vein harvesting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 12-hour night call or day rounding coverage.
• Work 7am-5pm rounding shifts or 5pm-7am call shifts.
• Manage routine cardiothoracic cases, including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, and VATS.
• Perform vein harvesting, utilizing Maquet Hemopro 2.
• Handle occasional ECMO cases.
• Be available for out-of-house call shifts, requiring proximity within 30 minutes of the hospital or accommodation in a nearby hotel.
• Respond to call, noting that most can be handled over the phone.

• Call Schedule: Occasional night and weekend out-of-house call; approximately 7% chance of being called in, with one call-in per every 10 shifts.
• Patient Volume: 1-4 patients per day

• Staffing Mix: The team includes 4 surgeons, 4 full-time surgical APPs, 1 part-time APP, and 1 new grad APP in training, covering 2 campuses.
