We are seeking a Cardiologist to join our client's team in Florida for a 42-day assignment. This role involves working one full week a month, from Monday 7 AM to the following Monday 7 AM, completing daily consults, discharges, and follow ups for inpatient cardiology cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Complete daily consults, discharges, and follow ups.
• Manage non-invasive inpatient cardiology cases.
• Handle inpatient consults including chest pain, arrhythmias, heart failure exacerbations, syncope, abnormal EKG findings, and pre-operative cardiac risk stratification.
• Provide coronary artery disease (CAD) management, including risk stratification for NSTEMI/unstable angina to determine need for cath lab referral versus medical management.
• Treat heart failure, both HFrEF and HFpEF, in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Address atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias through medical management (rate/rhythm control, anticoagulation).
• Diagnose and monitor valvular heart disease.
• Manage hypertension and hyperlipidemia as they relate to cardiac risk.
• Interpret diagnostic studies such as echocardiograms (TTE, stress echo), stress tests (exercise, pharmacologic, nuclear), Holter/event monitors, and EKGs.
