What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions including post-surgical, infectious diseases, and chronic illnesses.
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage hemodynamic stability, including wound care and catheter management.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
- Utilize EMR systems (Meditech Expanse) for accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and ST.
- Support float team as needed across various Med/Surg units.
- Maintain compliance with certifications and complete required competency exams.
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass EKG competency exam
- Experience with wound management, IV therapy, and complex patient care
Preferred:
- Experience in telemetry or cardiac units
- Ability to float proficiently across different Med/Surg units
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
