What You’ll Do
- Deliver advanced care for adult surgical and medical ICU patients, including cardiac and neuro cases.
- Manage ventilators, assist with intubation/extubation, and monitor vasoactive drips.
- Administer IV medications, manage drains, and support critically ill patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge RNs, CNAs, RTs, and hospitalists.
- Use Meditech Expanse EMR for documentation and patient data management.
- Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols, including EKG competencies and patient-specific care plans.
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or applicable state
- 2+ years of ICU experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Strong skills in ventilator management, stroke care, IV titration, and invasive line management
Preferred:
- Experience with neuro, cardiac, or critical care procedures
- Ability to pass EKG competency exam
