What You’ll Do
- Support adult infectious disease outpatient care teams
- Conduct physical assessments, review medical histories, and interpret diagnostic results
- Provide preventive health screenings tailored to patient needs
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans
- Document patient care accurately across all visits and procedures
- Perform office-based specialty care procedures following departmental guidelines
- Collaborate with RNs, CMAs, and physicians to optimize outpatient care
- Identify opportunities to enhance clinical workflows and patient outcomes
What You Need
- Valid NC RN & NP licenses (or PA license for Physician Assistants)
- Board certification within 1 year of hire (ANCC, NCC, AANP, AMCB, or PNCB)
- Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in infectious disease or HIV care
- BLS certification
- DEA license
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills
