Family Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant - Family Practice in Fortuna, CA

- Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
- Hours per Week: 36 hours minimum (18 PPD)
- Employment Type: Travel/Temporary assignment
- Licensure/Certifications: Active DEA, Furnishing License (NP), CA Controlled Substance Education (PA) if applicable
- Experience: 3+ years in similar settings preferred

What You’ll Do:
- Provide primary care services to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and adults
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and manage ongoing patient care
- Document clinical notes and chart closure within 72 hours
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Enroll and stay compliant with relevant licensure and immunization requirements
- Maintain accurate records for credentialing and regulatory purposes
What You Need:
Required:
- Active DEA registration
- Furnishing License with Schedule II for NPs or CA Controlled Substance Certification for PAs
- CA Controlled Substance Education Course Certificate (for PAs)
- 3+ years of experience in family practice or similar setting
- Immunizations: Flu shot, TB test/x-ray, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap (within last 10 years)
Preferred:
- Experience working in diverse clinical environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong documentation and patient communication skills
