We are seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Neonatology for a 15-day assignment in Missouri. This urgent need involves 24-hour shifts, with daytime inpatient unit responsibilities in a NICU and overnight on-call duties. The role focuses on comprehensive neonatology care, supervising Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, and responding to the needs of critically ill infants.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Managing the inpatient unit during daytime hours.
• Providing overnight on-call coverage, returning for the sickest babies or NNP transports.
• Supervising a team of 3 full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners.
• Attending deliveries for infants less than 29 weeks gestation and twins.
• Consulting in the regular nursery and occasionally in Pediatrics for cases such as jaundice.
• Providing prenatal consultations in Obstetrics.
• Managing patients requiring High Frequency Oscillation Ventilator (HFOV) and therapeutic hypothermia (whole body cooling).
• Accepting admissions from Pediatrics for infants as young as one week old.
