Practice Setting: Free-Standing Cancer Center + Inpatient Hospital Coverage
Coverage Period: November 2, 2026-January 29, 2027

Compensation:
Hourly: $330/hr
Overtime: $500/hr

Schedule
Clinic Hours: 8:30 AM-4:30 PM
Weekend Call: Friday 4:30 PM-Monday 8:00 AM
Weekend Call Rotation: Every 5th or 6th Weekend
Additional Call Rotation: Approximately 1 Week Every 6-8 Weeks
Availability for 2-4 Weeks Per Month Must Be Disclosed
Inpatient Coverage Required

Patient Population / Volume
Adult and Geriatric Patients
Approximately 25 Outpatient Visits Per Day
Approximately 20 Hospital Patients Per Day During Call/Rounding
Outpatient and Inpatient Services Are Covered on Separate Days
Must Be Comfortable Seeing More Than 12 Patients Per Day
Practice Mix: 65% Benign Hematology, 35% Malignant Oncology

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide Outpatient Hematology and Medical Oncology Care
Provide Inpatient Hematology and Oncology Coverage
Perform Hospital Rounding During Assigned Coverage
Evaluate and Manage Benign Hematologic Conditions
Evaluate and Manage Malignant Oncologic Conditions
Participate in Tumor Board Meetings
Manage Bone Marrow Transplant Patients
Provide Blood Bank-Related Clinical Management
Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests
Order Diagnostic Imaging
Prescribe Medications and Treatment Plans
Coordinate Patient Care With the Oncology Team

Requirements
Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology - Required
Active South Carolina Medical License - Required
BLS - Required
DEA - Required
Must Be Willing to Provide Inpatient Coverage
Must Disclose Availability for 2-4 Weeks Per Month
Clean Background Required for Emergency Temporary Privileges
Must Disclose Any Previous Employment or Assignment With the Health System
If Previously Affiliated, Must Provide Facility Name, Last Date Worked, and Agency

Credentialing
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 Days
Emergency Temporary Privileges May Be Considered With a Clean Background"
