What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and evaluate patients to develop personalized radiation therapy plans
- Administer advanced radiation treatments such as stereotactic radiosurgery
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
- Manage side effects and provide supportive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology team members
- Engage in research activities to improve patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately within EPIC and other systems
What You Need
Required:
- NY State medical license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of recent radiation oncology experience
- Board eligibility in radiation oncology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with stereotactic radiosurgery techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
About the Assignment
This role involves providing specialized radiation therapy in a busy outpatient oncology department. The department comprises a dedicated team including a nurse practitioner, LPN, and support staff, caring for adult patients with a wide variety of medical conditions related to cancer management. You will deliver cutting-edge treatments in a professional, patient-centered environment, focusing on quality and safety.
