Position Summary:
An established private primary care practice in Garland, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a short-term coverage assignment. Over five weekday shifts, you will provide comprehensive outpatient care to an adult and geriatric patient population, seeing approximately 18 patients per day. You’ll have a one-hour lunch break each day, and the practice charts in eClinicalWorks (ECW). This is a 1099 contract position, so employee benefits such as health coverage, PTO, and retirement are not included unless separately agreed upon.

Position Offers:

Competitive pay of $75.00–$80.00 per hour, depending on experience
Malpractice coverage provided by the practice
Short-term, five-shift assignment (November 16–20, 2026)
Manageable patient volume of approximately 18 patients per day
Daily one-hour lunch break (1:30 PM–2:30 PM)
Opportunity to work with an established outpatient primary care team

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and routine follow-up visits
Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab studies
Provide preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in eClinicalWorks (ECW)
Coordinate care with the supervising or collaborating physician and clinical staff, in compliance with Texas regulations

Qualifications:

Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
National NP certification in the appropriate specialty; FNP or AGPCNP preferred
Outpatient primary care experience preferred
eClinicalWorks (ECW) experience strongly preferred
Ability to independently assess and manage adult and geriatric patients within scope of practice
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
Availability for all five shifts, November 16–20, 2026
Ability to complete required credentialing and onboarding before the assignment begins
