We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic for a 65-day assignment in Ohio. This role involves Monday-Friday shifts with occasional night and weekend call, covering either 12-hour night call or 7 AM-5 PM day rounding. The successful candidate will focus on rounding, managing routine cardiothoracic cases, and participating in an out-of-house call schedule where most calls can be handled remotely.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform 12-hour night call or 7 AM-5 PM day rounding.
• Manage routine cardiothoracic cases, including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, and VATS.
• Handle occasional ECMO cases; advanced heart failure, VAD, or transplants are not required.
• Execute vein harvesting, including endoscopic procedures utilizing Maquet Hemopro 2.
• Participate in an out-of-house call schedule, primarily handling inquiries remotely with a low on-site callback rate.

• Call Schedule: Out-of-house call; occasional night and weekend call, with a low chance of being called in physically. Must be within 30 minutes of the hospital or stay in a nearby hotel for call shifts.
• Patients Per Day: 1-4
• LOA: 65 Days
• Staffing Mix: Four surgeons, four full-time surgical APPs, one part-time APP, and one new grad APP in training, covering two campuses.
