What You’ll Do
- Provide routine and complex nursing care to labor and delivery patients, following ANA standards and protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor effectiveness, and document patient responses.
- Assess patient history, symptoms, and care outcomes for quality and safety.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, care plans, and postpartum needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Support patients emotionally and psychologically through labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Demonstrate leadership in self and others by guiding less experienced staff when appropriate.
What You Need
Required:
- RN license in Texas or a Compact State
- Current certification in BLS, NRP, ACLS
- AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certificate
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in labor and delivery or similar specialty
Preferred:
- Perinatal RN residency or recent practice in perinatal care
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
About the Assignment
This assignment is with a leading facility in Corpus Christi, TX, providing specialized labor and delivery care. You will be working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, supporting mothers and newborns with a dedicated nursing team committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care throughout the scheduled duration.
